Thank you for this article and reference to the circle. My daughter was diagnosed with a brain tumour in 2005 and passed away in 2007. We received so much advice that was less than helpful, although I know the spirit of intent was positive. I published a book about her like in the spring of 2022; the lessons I learned from her and an accounting of what this experience was like for our family. My hope is that parents with children who have terminal illnesses or who have lost children will gave an open and honest reference to help them get through it.
I actually wrote an email to everyone to ask them to please stop sending suggestions as we believed we had done all we could and were just going to peacefully spend our remaining time with her.
Grief is hard. Supporting someone who is grieving can also be so difficult. This information was lovely. Thank you.
